Fred Beile Classic 2017

The Reivers competed at the annual Fred Beile Classic at Doane College.   The Reivers claimed 7 national qualifiers for the NJCAA National Track and Field Meet this coming March in North Carolina.

 The field events started off the day at 11 a.m. with two national qualifiers.  Detrich Lodge qualified in the women’s long jump with a jump of (5.53m).  Mckenna Mumaw had a PR in the weight throw with a toss of (13.88m).  The Reiver women pole vaulters finished the day 2nd and 3rd just barely missing big jumps to break the school record. Sophomore Kelsey Hurley had a great day breaking the school record in the high jump with a leap of (1.75m) and just missing jumps at (1.80m) that jump puts her tied for second on the NJCAA lead board.

The running events started at 12:00 p.m. with Detrich Lodge in the 60 hurdles running a season PR of 9.00 seconds, Cory Mensah runs a season PR as well in the 60m with a time of 6.91 seconds.

The Reivers will return to action next weekend competing at the South Dakota State Classic in Brookings, South Dakota.
