Preston Lauterbach Wins First National Title in Program History

Reiver Wrestling went into the NJCAA National Wrestling Championships ranked 20th in the latest poll. With 10 qualifiers at the National Tournament the Reivers put together another storng showing with 3 All-Americans and a team finish of 6th. This marks the third season in a row that the Reivers finished in the top 10. The tournament was highlighted by Preston Lauterbach's dominant performance pinning his way through the tournament which culminated in a one minute and twenty-three second pin over #3 ranked Hazell West of Clackamas CC in the finals securing a national championship. Lauterbach was also voted most outstanding wrestler, and the award for most falls.
