IOWA WESTERN BASKETBALL: A TRADITION OF WINNING BASKETBALL

Welcome to Reiver Men's Basketball, home of the 2005, 2006, and 2013 NJCAA District and Region XI Champions. Ranked the 17th best junior college basketball program in the nation since 2000 (by The Sporting News' - Basketball Times).

The Reivers have had 84 players sign and move on to compete at the NCAA D1 level. In just the past four seasons alone, Iowa Western's Men's basketball program has had an amazing 21 former players sign with NCAA D1 programs; including all 6 exiting sophomores inking with  NCAA D1 institutions from last season's (2018-19) team. The previous '17-'18 team graduated all 9 of it's sophomores, with 8 of them receiving full scholarships to play at four year schools (with 5 of them signing with NCAA D1 programs as well).

Over 30 of those former Iowa Western Reivers continued their basketball playing career at the professional level after concluding their college eligibility.

Combine that with an NJCAA "FINAL FOUR" appearance in 2006, three "Elite Eight" appearances, 20-plus win seasons 20 out of the last 21 years, and Iowa Western indeed has a tradition of winning basketball.
