Lila Frommelt Fall Classic- Cassidy Evreniadis Wins Her First Tournament

The Women started the 2016/2017 Fall season off with a 4th place finish at the Lila Frommelt Classic in North Sioux City, SD (Two Rivers Golf Course). The 12 team field consisted of mainly the GPAC conference teams in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. Iowa Western finished 2 strokes back from 3rd place finisher Mount Marty College (675). Host School, Briar Cliff University finished in 2nd (661) and Morningside College won whit a score of 647. Iowa Western Freshman Cassidy Evreniadis finished in 1st place over-all with a score of 155 (80-75). Sophmore Katie Irvin just finished out of the Top 10 with a socre of 168 (84-84).

Iowa Western Returning All-American Sena Ersoy was not able to participate in this event. She was playing in the World Amateur Team Championships in Riviera Maya, Mexico
