Reivers Claim ICCAC Region 11 Title
COUNCIL BLUFFS - Iowa Western Baseball defeated Indian Hills CC 5-3 to claim the 2026 ICCAC Region 11 Title at Doc Ross Field.
The Reivers (44-9) took game one on Thursday afternoon, 6-2, behind great bullpen pitching from Easton Roth and Brynner Waiolama. Roth came into relief in the 4th inning and tossed three scoreless frames, allowing just two Warrior hits while striking out four to earn his 5th win of the year.
In game two, Indian Hills (24-23) ran out to an early 3-1 lead after the top half of the 5th. Iowa Western scratched across a run in the bottom of the inning to make it 3-2.
The Reivers set down the Warriors 1-2-3 in the top half of the 8th; Kayden Anderson led off the bottom half with a single to left center field and moved to second base after a sacrifice bunt by Owen Baxter. An RBI double to right field from Charlie Kalbrenner tied the game up at three apiece. That brought to the plate Kane Wilson, who launched the go-ahead two-run homerun off the Reiver Athletic Performance Center in left field to take a 5-3 lead.
Wiaolama came in to close out the game and pumped a fastball right past Charles Margulis to pick up his 6th save of the season.
Iowa Western will now head to Carterville, IL, to take on the winners of Region 4 and 24 for the Midwest District Championship.
