SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The Iowa Western Reivers traveled to Sioux City, IA, on Saturday afternoon for a matchup with the Western Iowa Tech Comets. The Reivers controlled the first half of play and led 38-28 at the halftime break.
In the second half, the Reivers would hold a steady 10-point lead, but late in the game, the Comets made a push and tightened the contest. The Comets would get as close as 3 points in the final 2 minutes, but Iowa Western would go on to close out the game at the free-throw line.
Judah Vignery led the way in scoring for the Reivers with 25 points. Freshman guards Zayden Best and JP Sumo both reached double figures with 15 and 14, respectively.
Iowa Western is now 16-1 on the season and 7-1 in the ICCAC. The Reivers will host #2 DMACC on Wednesday night inside Reiver Arena.
