Bio

Gabrielle Schultz begins her second year as an assistant coach for the 2025-26 season.

Coach Schultz comes to Iowa Western after a stellar career at Pittsburg State University.  With the Gorillas, Schultz started in 145 of 150 games in her three seasons in Pittsburg, KS, from 2021 to 2023, earning MIAA All-Conference honors each year.

In 2023, Schultz was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year culminating with an NFCA Rawlings Gold Glove at shortstop after posting a .994 fielding percentage with 107 assists and 61 putouts.  Over her three year career, Schultz batted .329 with 134 hits, 24 doubles, 83 RBI, and 76 runs scored.  She also fielded at a .965 clip with 268 assists for the Gorillas.

Before Pittsburg State, Schultz spent two seasons at Highland CC (KS), including one season under Reiver Head Coach, Heidi Jordan.  In her sophomore season with the Scotties, Schultz earned NJCAA 3rd team All-American honors after setting the single-season Highland hit record with 79.  She also helped the Scotties to the KJCCC Conference and Region titles, making a trip to the NJCAA DII National Tournament.

Coach Schultz hails from Gardner, KS and earned her Bachlor's Degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State.
