NORFOLK, NE, Iowa Western clinched the Region XI regular-season title with the win (Over conference rival Northeast). Kiara Dallmann scored 21 points and Sommer Blakemore added 20 - making five of six 3-pointers for the Reivers, Aubriana Noti also collected 15 rebounds for Iowa Western, which owned a 46-17 edge on the glass.
IWCC ended the first quarter with an eight point lead, but Northeast cut it to 44-41 early in the fourth quarter. But Dallmann's layup and a 3 by Binta Salawu made it 49-41 and Northeast never got closer than six after that.
"Winning 11 in a row is awesome, but we have to keep in gear," IWCC coach Lindsey Vande Hoef siad.
IWCC plays at 5:30 p.m. Monday at State Fair (MO), then plays at Moberly Area (MO) at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.
