Reivers Gaining Ground Ahead of Season Opener

The Iowa Western women's basketball team has battled through three tough preseason scrimmages this past weekend — and with one more tune-up to go, the Reivers are locking in for their home opener on October 31.
 
Head Coach Zach Loll said the fall schedule has been a valuable test for his squad. "These scrimmages have shown us a lot," Loll said. "We've seen flashes of who we can be, and we've also learned where we need to get better. That's what this time of year is all about — growth."
 
With a blend of veteran leadership and hungry newcomers, the Reivers are working to tighten details, build chemistry, and raise their level each day. The final scrimmage will serve as one last chance to fine-tune before the lights come on at Reiver Arena on October 31.
