Women Win Their Hosted Invite
The Reiver women ended their spring regular season on a high note, taking 1st place at their hosted Bent Tree Invitational. Day 1 saw the team shoot their low round of the season, 318. Led by a great round from freshman Olivia Holyoak-Church and her 71, 1 under par. Right behind her was Lauren Brown with a 78 and Beatriz Pinheiro with a 79.
Day 2 brought an even better team score of 316. Once again Church led the team with a 75, Pinheiro followed up again with a 79. Rylin Davidson got into the action with an 80 and Brown rounded out the scoring with an 82.
Church took home Medalist honors by winning the tournament by 6 strokes. Pineiro placed 7th and Brown cracked the top 10 by placing 9th.
"We had a good tournament," said Head Coach Matt Robinson. "Our team is starting to peak at the right time of the season. We need to keep this going next week and into the National Championships."
The women will compete April 28th and 29th at Lake Mozingo Golf Course in Maryville, MO. The new district this year consists of the DI schools from Iowa and Missouri.
