Reivers Roll to 37–7 Road Win Over NIACC
Mason City, IA — Iowa Western wrestling turned in one of its most complete performances of the season Wednesday night, powering past North Iowa Area Community College in a 37–7 dual victory on the road.
The duel opened at 125lb, where Noah Jones delivered a 7–2 decision over Alejandro Rodriguez, putting the Reivers on the board early. Isaac Ekdahl earned bonus points for the Reivers at 133lb with a 22–4 technical fall at 6:27, boosting the Reivers to an early 8–0 lead.
At 141lbs, the Reivers banked another six points as Hudson Palmer accepted a forfeit, stretching the lead to 14–0. The momentum continued at 149lb as Logan Crowther, fresh off ICCAC honors, turned in another stellar performance, storming to a 15–0 technical fall in just 2:20.
Following a hard-fought loss at 157lb, Braxton Peacher gutted out an 8–7 decision victory to put the Reivers back on track at 165lb.
The Trojans managed to snag three points at 184lb, but Iowa Western slammed the door in the final two bouts. At 197lb, Kolby Scott delivered a fall at exactly 3:00 and earned his first conference win at the weight class.
In the final match of the night, Tony Palmer earned a first-period pin in just 1:45, sealing the victory and sending the Reivers home with another ICCAC victory.
