Tetzlaff to Join LOVB Omaha Volleyball
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Iowa Western Volleyball Head Coach Korie Tetzlaff will be joining Omaha's League One Volleyball team. Tetzlaff leaves the Reivers after spending three seasons at IWCC, the last two leading the volleyball program.
"This is a truly special place with truly special people," said Tetzlaff. "I am so grateful to everyone I have met and worked with who has made my time here so enjoyable and for Iowa Western's leadership, allowing me to lead this incredible program."
"We'd like to thank Coach Tetzlaff for her leadership at Iowa Western and wish her and her family all the best in this new opportunity across the river," said Iowa Western President, Dr. Dan Kinney.
In her three seasons with Iowa Western, Tetzlaff helped bring home the 2021 NJCAA National Championship as an assistant coach during her first year under Alicia Williams. Tetzlaff was elevated to head coach in February 2022 with the team going 36-36 in her two years at the program's helm, finishing both seasons as the Midwest District B runner-up.
"We want to thank Coach Tetzlaff for her commitment to Reiver Volleyball over the past three years," said Iowa Western Athletic Director Shane Larson. "We are happy for her as she embarks on this new opportunity."
"Winning the National Championship my first year here was an experience I will always remember," Tetzlaff added. "As I look forward to the next, once in a lifetime, step in my journey with the new professional LOVB Omaha organization, I also have no doubt that the Reiver volleyball program will be in good hands and will continue to thrive in the future."
During her time at IWCC, 18 players signed with NCAA Division 1 schools, two earned NJCAA All-American honors and nine were named ICCAC All-Region.
Assistant Coach Joby Ramos has been named Interim Head Coach for the 2024-25 season.
