Myranda Velazquez begins her 1st season as the Head Women's Wrestling Coach for 2025-26.

Last season, as the women's wrestling assistant coach, Velazquez helped the team to the NJCAA National Invitational Runner-up and saw three wrestlers win their individual weight classes.  Additionally, three others earned All-American status under Velazquez, with one earning a runner-up finish.

Before Iowa Western, Velazquez spent three years at Midland University in Fremont, NE, coaching a pair of NAIA All-Americans while also earning her Master's Degree in Learning and Talent Development.

Velazquez wrestled collegiately at the University of Jamestown, where she earned All-American status in the NAIA, WCWA, and the U23s and participated in the US Open.
